GULF STREAMS PODCAST DISCUSSES “SOLASTALGIA” EXHIBITION

This week’s Gulf Streams Podcast, hosted by Rice University’s Dr. Weston Twardowski, featured a discussion about Solastalgia, a group show a year in the making that includes my Brio Memory Project, alongside beautiful, ambitious works by Houston artists Ellen H. Ray, Cathie Kayser, Renata Lucia and Cindee Klement. San Jacinto College South Gallery Director Bradly Brown, SJCS Theater Director Jonelle Walker, and artist/writer Sarah Welch discuss the exhibition and The Pits, a play running concurrently that, like the Brio Memory Project, is inspired by the Brio Superfund waste dump located across the street from the college campus. Toward the end of the episode, I speak about The Brio Memory Project and some the history that inspired it.

SOLASTALGIA holds its official community reception this weekend at San Jacinto College South Gallery from 12-5pm, with an ARTIST PANEL DISCUSSION AT 3PM. We are so honored that our moderator will be Dr. Twardowski!

We hope you can join us!
